Spacing and countertop overhang considerations.
Which size should you choose? As a rule, the correct size is one that leaves no more than 4” unsupported countertop from the end of the bracket.
Spacing
Our recommendation is
that the spacing between these brackets is
16 - 18 inches.
All images display Stainless Steel and are not to scale.
The Carrier support is a plate with a cross bar attached to provide additional support will still remaining virtually invisible. These braces require additional support from a knee wall or cabinet but can support more weight on the end of the counter than regular plate brackets can.
NOTE: The stated length of these brackets is the actual length the support extends under the countertop overhang. This product is useful on applications allowing for four inches of support structure to tie into (ie. knee walls, half-walls & modified cabinets). For full length of the Carrier Countertop Brace please add 4" to the stated length in the Product description. For further information view the spec sheet on the Carrier Countertop Brace.
